We were all surprised Admiral Zolta did not take her place as the new high leader for House Vladislav. I do not think anyone has even heard of the man who did fill in the position of the late Lord Hakim.

Regardless of where he came from, Lord Strom now holds the leading chair of House Vladislav. It seems he is a man of action, as he had already hired a vast number of mercenaries before the ceremony to swear him into power even took place.

Mercs make me nervous. There are only a select few mercenary guilds who I would trust not to jump sides in the middle of a battle if the price was right. Not a one of the mercenary guilds Lord Strom recently hired is a group I would trust far.

Still, as long as the mercs are assigned to fight winning battles, they will remain true. It’s when they feel they are losing and they have a better offer that they may open their accounts to other employers.

The command staff seems to be buzzing lately. Seems something big may be coming up soon. Regardless, I am eager to go back into battle. I now have 97 combat kills, and I am eager to get three more.
