Gat's Journal

What?

How many people read this journal? I was baffled to receive this message today from a Sun and Blossom House registered domain. The message is as follows:

Hello S. Gat,

My name is Toyo Asahi. We would not have met as I am a humble asteroid miner from across the system. I came across your datalog last week, and I was intrigued by a military perspective from a house so different from my own. While I do enjoy following your journal, you do leave a lot out which I am inclined to inquire about.

You are a fighter pilot, but you never mention what kind of fighter you fly. I have studied all of the different fighter classes from the major military supply companies, and it’s something I am quite interested in.

Additionally, I am curious as to what kind of command ship you have. You never even name it, or even so much as to hint about its size or purpose.

And finally, I am curious as to what your first name is. You always sign off as “S. Gat”. What does the “S” stand for?

Thank you for your time and for writing such an interesting datalog. It does get dull blasting rocks out here! Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Walksafe, friend.

Toyo Asahi

Excuse me? You think I will divulge military specs and positions to a fraking ‘roid miner from a rival house? Now I know why I was warned not to divulge too much in this journal. No, I won’t tell you a thing, and no, I am not your friend Asahi. In fact, if I see a Sun and Blossom House asteroid miner anywhere, I will go out of my way to blast it! I normally wouldn’t waste my cannons, but now there is the off chance you are the pilot!

As for as what the “S” stands for in my name, as far as you are concerned, it can stand for “Soon to be blasting your fraking hide”

You give a bad name to hard working asteroid miners everywhere.

“Walksafe” indeed. Fraking idiot.

S.(Soon to be blasting your fraking hide) Gat, Sergeant fraking first class.
